An hour and a half from Singapore, Bintan Island and its crystal clear waters

This is the site of the Bintan Island Club Med Resort, a haven of tranquillity and refinement combining modernity with Asian tradition.

From the terrace of the Panorama Bar, lapis-lazuli blue, mother of pearl and emerald hues are a feast for the eyes, from the overflow pool to the lush gardens. Bintan Island is also a golfer's paradise, with some of the finest courses* in Asia nearby.

Parks & Gardens

The gardens have palm trees and numerous species of tropical plants. There are ornamental lakes, and a magnificent waterfall that flows into the swimming pool.

Beach

The two and a half kilometre (one and a half mile) stretch of fine white sandy beach is public, but access only via the Club Med Resort. A haven of peace, just a stone's throw from the Club.

The beach has deckchairs, parasols, showers and a bar.
No lifeguards present.
