Named "the city of a hundred doors" by Homer, this open-air museum is totally unique.
Sacred city of Amon-Re, these two days in ancient Thebes will take you back to the days when this mythical figure visited Thebes each year in his golden boat. A guided visi of the splendid Temple, with sound and light show, now called the Temple of Karnak, where the Pharohs reigned for 5 centuries. Sphinxes guard the road leading to the Temple of Luxor. The dignity of the two Pharaohs leaves an indelible impression of peace and eternity. On the opposite bank of the river lies the secret valley, the royal Necropolis of Thebes. The Valley of the Kings and Queens and the Temple of Hatchepsout invite the visitor to meditate, not so much on death but on eternal life. The prince who is buried here wanted it to resemble the sanctuaries of his home city, Istanbul. Round off your day by exploring the citadel of Salah al-Din, also known as the Mountain Castle.

Off the Egyptian coast, admire the magnificent expanse of the Red Sea, from the top of the hill on Giftun Island.
The island is a protected nature reserve, one and a half hours away by motor boat. The subtle colours and sparkling water that surround the island are totally breathtaking. Enjoy snorkelling on the coral reefs and sunbathing on white sands. After a buffet lunch in the island restaurant, take the time to lounge under a parasol at the end of an unforgettable day.

Just 10 minutes away from the frenzy of the beaches, lies infinite emptiness. This is the Arabian desert, Bedouin country.
Desert discovery, sunset or barbecue, three programmes to choose from, three variations to explore the oriental desert. From a backdrop of stone and rocky plateau hewn out of the the pink mountain range, the fascinating arid environment of the mountains gives way to the totally contrasting landscape of a magnificent rocky gorge.

An avenue lined with giant rams, bigger than buffaloes, stretches before you.
Its gates open onto the sacred lake that was used for ritual sailing. Opposite the colossi of the Ethiopian court and a vast array of columns, discover the splendid Temple of Karnak. After lunch in a hotel in Loxor (water and 1 local drink included), explore the royal necropolis. Over the Nile to the Valley of Kings, home to some sixty royal tombs, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsout and the Colossi of Memnon, which portray Pharaoh Amenophis the 3rd.
