The climate in Greece
Greece has a typically Mediterranean climate. The Greek summer, from the beginning of June to mid-September, is particularly dry, hot and sunny. The ideal season for swimming and sunbathing! Maximum temperatures are around 30°C in the summer, but the heat is tempered by the Meltemi, the north-north westerly wind that blows across the Aegean Sea.
There is very little rain in summer, most rainfall occurs between December and February.
The nights are cool at the beginning and end of the season.
