Discover the finest waterfalls in the world, a fabulous festival of water, with over 272 falls cascading into a precipice over 3 kms (almost 2 miles) wide. Visit the Argentine and Brazilian coasts, that make up a perfectly harmonious panorama. Take an electric train to the Macuco National Park. Speedboat ride at the foot of the falls. A unique and unforgettable experience.

Imagine a huge bay with at least 365 little islands, thousansds of beaches and perfectly sheltered moorings. Beautifully calm, clear, green waters, a white sand beach and in the backdrop, the magnificent Atlantic forest that stretches up to the mountain tops.
Lopes Mendes, on the Ilha Grande, is one of Brazil's prettiest beaches: 3 kms (almost 2 miles) of white sand, and crystal clear water. Sail to Palmas, with open bar; 30-minute walk and free time for swimming.

This historic city is ranked as a national monument, a superb example of 18th century architecture with ancient paving stones, low houses with sturdy walls, wrought-iron balconies with Masonic symbols and memories of gallions and gold-trafficking pirates.
Sail on a traditional ship; swimming, lunch on "Cotton Island" and free time for visiting.

Sail down the Mambucaba River in a zodiac - rafting level 3 - one hour of sheer emotion.
Descend fast-flowing rivers or rapids in a rubber dinghy for 4 to 8 people.
Great team spirit and bonding. The most intrepid members of the team take the front seats, the most laid-back in the middle and the members with the most technique at the back. Rafting is the most exciting way to descend a river!

The Rio Carnival will run from 5 to 8 March 2011. The Carnival is a national holiday in Brazil, and the 2011 should be no exception to the vibrant, colourful event that takes over the city every year at carnival time. For 3 days, the Samba Schools parade through the night in the Sambodromo, a fabulous, once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. From 9 pm to 6 am, the schools compete for the coveted title! Club Med proposes grandstand seats in the tourist sector, guaranteeing a panoramic view over this tidal wave of dancing humanity. Excursion departs from Club Med Rio das Pedras.
