Wadi Rum is also known as the "Valley of the Moon". One of the most beautiful sites in Jordan, the valley was on the path of successive waves of Semite invaders. This magical spot is also associated with the exploits of Lawrence of Arabia during the First World War. Exploration of the spectacular environment in a 4x4. Lunch of local delicacies in a Bedouin camp. In the afternoon, you'll be driven to Wadi Musa where you'll spend the night in a 5 star hotel.
Early start the next morning for a guided tour of Petra**: we'll approach the capital of the Nabatean kingdom via the narrow Siq pass surrounded by lofty cliffs. This nomadic people, who no doubt came from the southern reaches of Arabia, built themselves an indepenent kingdom stretching from Hegra in Arabia to Bosra in Syria. Journey to Aqaba by bus and across the Bay of Aqaba by express ferry. Arrival at tha Taba Heights Marina, simplified customs formalities and back to Club Med by bus.
