Cherating Beach Malaysia

Huge resort featuring a beautiful and calm private beach. Rooms are clean, pleasant and well-maintained. Spoiled by a large variety of food cuisines that are very delicious. Lots of activities to try and don't have to wait long. Service is great

We went to club med cherating on day passes & night passes. We came to Cherating with our dogs & stayed in a dog-friendly resort right next door. To my surprise, club med cherating was actually not too bad compared to the other club meds in Asia.

The private beach lounging area is quite relaxing. It’s away from the hotel, we had to take a train ride to get to the beach. The only downside was the beach was not recommended for swimming due to strong waves.

Anyway, we came here to play padel. There are two newly opened padel courts - court conditions are very good. There’s also pickleball courts. The sports equipment provided here is better than other Asian club meds, ie. proper grips on padel racquets, proper racquets, and good balls. We played padel with the Mexican sports manager, Mario, and the Japanese tennis coach. It was good fun with a nice jungle backdrop!

Lots of thanks & love to Mario & Julietta for their hard work & excellent service. Last but not least, of course we had to mention the buffet. It was delicious!

CLUB MED Cherating, Kuantan (20th April to 23rd April 2026)

We had the most fabulous and relaxed time during our stay at Club Med recently.

We commend Chef de Village Clayton da Matta and his wonderful, friendly and dedicated team that brightens every day until night ends. We were received by JJ and his welcoming team and from then on, it was absolutely beautiful.

The food spread was just yummy, with Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Western and there were ample types of bread, cheese, honey, jam, fruits which we savored without end. Then there were the delicious home made Gelato Ice cream. Wow… oh sooo gooood (yums…every meal had to end with these sweet flavours). Kudos to the F&B Manager and team.

Enjoyed the recreational games of Pickleball (with a lady staff from the Spa), Table Tennis and even tried out Archery (Zack) and outdoor Rock Climbing by the beach guided by two helpful staff (regret did not get their names)…and oh not forgetting Sailing as well. Thanks to Gede (Sailing), Zhi Ruo (at the Zen Pool), the Aqua Gym team (Zack and others).

Also not forgetting the guitarist/vocalist Jover who serenaded us with golden oldies, which we enjoyed thoroughly. One of those who prepared cocktails and juices for us, Satish, was a pleasant character as well.

We were amazed by the multi-talented people of different nationalities, working and performing together…from the trapeze act Clayton even turned catcher, which was amazing.. and then the choreographer, costume designer, sound, LCD technical team and all the actors and actresses in the Spartan/Museum show…you all did so well. Kudos to all.

My wife and I, together with some wonderful friends had a great time with sumptuous food, beautiful people, fabulous and relaxing beach front and a good workout at the gym as well as the walk through the path until the Zen pool. We shall remember and cherish these beautiful moments.

This is my 2nd time and my friend first time.
Some of the GO (staff) were remember me and greeting, eating drinking together with us. Happy to meet all of you again!
