An Unforgettable Fall Experience at Club Med Québec Charlevoix
My experience at Club Med Québec Charlevoix was truly spectacular and one of the most rewarding vacations I have experienced in Canada. The extraordinary setting, where the magnificent St. Lawrence River and the surrounding natural beauty seem to embrace one another, makes this destination truly unforgettable.
My heartfelt thanks go to every member of the Club Med team for making my fall vacation such a wonderful experience.
I would especially like to congratulate the pâtisserie department. The desserts were exquisite, beautifully presented, and served in just the right size—small, delicate portions that allowed us to enjoy a little taste of sweetness after a meal.
I was also very impressed by the thoughtful approach to food service. Meals were carefully portioned and presented, helping minimize food waste. I sincerely applaud this initiative and the team’s commitment to responsible consumption. It was wonderful to see such consideration for both the guests and the environment.
The staff’s efforts to accommodate guests from different backgrounds and walks of life also deserve recognition. These thoughtful details made the experience all the more rewarding.
A Few Suggestions for Future Visits
There are two additions I would love to see in the future:

1. Simple, conversational French lessons. Short, informal sessions teaching useful French phrases for everyday interactions around the resort would be a delightful way for guests to connect with the staff and embrace the local Québec culture.
2. Aquafit classes designed specifically for seniors. Gentle, low-impact water exercise sessions would be a wonderful addition for older guests and those with mobility limitations who may find the more athletic activities challenging. Such classes would help more guests participate comfortably, stay active, and enjoy their vacation.
   I leave with wonderful memories and sincere appreciation for everyone who contributed to this unforgettable autumn experience.

We have been here a few times in different seasons and it does not disappoint. So much to do and see in the area too.

The views and the facilities are top notch. Food fantastic and the staff were great. I would totally recommend going.

Everything was perfect
The location is fantastic with incredible landscapes.
The staff was amazing and the meals were divine.

My wife and I stayed for five nights in September. We are from Victoria, BC. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. Our room was ready, and the staff were cheerful.
The resort is a few years old and very clean and fresh. We had a family room with separate bedrooms. We sleep better with a wall between us. The second room had two single beds, and the main bed was king-sized. Both beds were excellent, and the resort was quiet. The odd tired baby or frustrated child, but nothing bad. We did not have a view, but that did not matter as we had lots of places to admire the view, often with a delicious drink.
The staff were excellent. Shoutouts to Alex, Maria and Edward. Alex is a friendly, entertaining Brit who went out of his way to help. Maris was full of energy and had an infectious joy. Edward was a bartender who remembered my order and made my drinks to perfection.
The food and drink are included. The food was delicious. It did get a bit repetitive after 5 nights. There are no "specialty restaurants"; however, they do offer a fondue and Tomahawk steak for two at an additional cost. We did not try them as we were happy with the main dining room food.
Beer and wine were served tableside at dinner. They were really good quality wines. You could not get cocktails tableside, so I just ordered them from the bar and brought them to dinner.
The area is natural, with some nice walks. The village, about a 10-minute walk away, has few amenities, and the nearest town is about a 20-minute drive. The cable car to the base of the ski resort is included and is a great experience. On the mountain, there are a lot of walks, and you can bike at the resort if you want to try your hand at mountain biking. I imagine in the winter it is amazing.
The entertainment is mainly in French, which was a bit of a detraction from the experience. The acrobatics and the physical skill of the performers were very impressive. We went to bed around 10 pm, so we did not take part in any late-night activities.
The trip was great value for money. We spent around $600 per night. I would definitely go again and am looking at other Club Meds in the Caribbean.
On our last day, we paid for a late check-out as we had an evening flight. It was money well spent.
You can't do an honest review without a bit of complaining. The cost of laundry was ridiculous. It is token-operated, and tokens cost around $10. So, one load is $20+ tax. The only other issue is that the room didn't have a kettle. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will bring my own.
