Columbus Isle Bahamas

As someone whose visited many Club Meds, parts of the village felt familiar as soon as I landed; it’s a pretty easy village to navigate, the beach is lovely, and the rooms are so cute. But, as with most Club Med villages, it is the people who make the experience so memorable.

At sailing, Brianna and Nathan were so kind, conversational, and incredibly friendly. They would go out of their way to check in on guests, and were super encouraging. I also appreciated how they were dancing or chatting at night; it really adds to the energy of the village.

Denisse and Jessica were so helpful and friendly when working and whenever I would see them around the village!

But, the girl on the mic often spoke only in French, and I would have appreciated some English to understand what was happening…

In any case, the bar team is beyond friendly and remembers drink orders, which makes the day feel that much better (Lucky makes the best frozen drinks). I adore Gonzo, he is one of the kindest people, always friendly and smiling, and would always check in regardless of the time of day.

Wes (DJ) would consistently play danceable music in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and interact with guests between setting up sets and show rehearsals, which made for a fun week.

The expérience was amazing, always joyful and so fun. The activites were always unique and very well organised. Thanks to all the GOs (Briana, Nathan, Philipe) from the sailing team, (Elisa, Ben, Julien, Alex, Bowe, Eva, Olivier, Véronica, Marie-Ange, Tom and Anne, etc.) from the onlyBlue diving center. Honorable mention to Gonzo and Raphaël.

All of you have made this vacation so much alive and with a good energy.

The resort was very good and beautiful. The food was perfect. I highly recommend this place to who ever want to go alone, with friends and family.

Just got back from a week at Club Med
In the Bahamas. The beach at Columbus Isle and the gorgeous, warm, turquoise water were breathtaking. We never wanted to get out of the ocean because it was so calm and the temperature was so nice. We had a room facing the ocean, but honestly, we never stayed in the room that much and we didn’t even sit on our balcony one time due to the incredible ocean and spectacular blue water. Our bed was extremely comfortable and we loved having the separate closet and large bathroom. This was a very good value and I knew going in, we were not staying at the Ritz. So we did not expect anything over the top fancy, including hotel furniture or certain upgrades that are hard to complete due to being an isolated island. With this being said, we don’t have one single complaint. The scuba diving was some of the best we have seen with beautiful coral and blue wall drop offs. The dive team was truly top notch! My husband had a successful bonefish day while I did a spinning class that was awesome. I love the all-inclusive aspect of being able to get what you want whenever you want. The food was delicious and the vibe was very energetic. Totally loved the beach bar and the night performances, including the shows and the dance themes. It was so much fun that we cannot wait to go back. When you see this stretch of beach and the beautiful, sparkling, turquoise water, it will take your breath away, and you will certainly be glad that you did this Club Med trip. We didn’t have any expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. It’s hard to mention one single staff member because every single person was always smiling from the bartender to the food staff, GO crew, sports staff, reception,etc. I can honestly say the entire staff was exceptional. My husband and I have been fortunate to travel all over the world and trust me, this was one of our most beautiful destinations. You won’t be disappointed.
