Cherating Beach Malaysia

We had a wonderful stay at Club Med Cherating, Malaysia, and I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our New Year family vacation so special.

First of all, a big thank you to Clayton and the entire team, especially the LEM and F&B teams. Every single one of you was amazing, and we truly had a great time together as a family.

Housekeeping also deserves special recognition. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every single day, and thanks to their hard work, we were able to stay very comfortably throughout our stay. A special thank you to Housekeeping Manager Kevin and his team — everyone was kind, professional, and always smiling. I know their job is not easy, and I am very grateful for their efforts.

The food was excellent. Chef Rudy and his team did an amazing job. There was a great variety, including Japanese dishes, and the menu changed daily, so we never got bored. The New Year dining experience was especially enjoyable.

The night shows were another highlight of our stay. Every night featured a different type of show, and we truly looked forward to them. They were fun, creative, and very entertaining, thanks to the LEM team.
Special thanks to Circus Elaine and Zol — your performances were always amazing. Choreographer Iyo’s solo Lyra performance was absolutely beautiful.

At the bar, thank you to Mr. Charo, Ray, and Mr. Satish for your great service. We even had lunch with Satish, as well as Sports Manager Mario, Sports GO Yik, and eGO Julie. Their warm hospitality and friendly conversation made the experience even more special and memorable.

Unfortunately, I had a small injury during my stay, but I was very well taken care of. Doctor Kabir was extremely kind, friendly, and supportive, and he checked on me every day, which really meant a lot. The security staff at the front were also always attentive and caring, and I truly appreciated their concern. When I lost some items, the Mini Club Manager Rama kindly tried very hard to help find them, which I really appreciated.

In the end, this was a truly enjoyable and relaxing stay, and we would love to come back again. Thank you to everyone at Club Med Cherating for your warmth, care, and wonderful hospitality. See you soon. Arigato!

This experience has really reinforced one thing for me: Club Med isn’t just about the place, it’s about the people.

Special mentions:

Dee – The human equivalent of a perfectly labelled Excel sheet. Impeccably organised, great at arrangements, and somehow always three steps ahead of everyone else.

Ray – Outstanding work ethic paired with encyclopaedic knowledge of the CM structure and how everything (and everyone) interacts. Basically if CM had an instruction manual, he's the manual.

Chef Rudy – The man, the myth, the reason behind consistently delicious food. I can confidently say I’ve never been hungry for even a minute at the village - pretty sure that’s his personal KPI.

Betty – Has done a fantastic job with F&B and genuinely made the place feel like a second home. Also, let’s talk about that pizza - easily one of the best I’ve ever eaten, and I don’t say that lightly.

Shin – Extremely hardworking and endlessly helpful. I’ve yet to successfully pin her down for a proper sit-down chat and meal (she’s always in motion), but she has a natural flair for keeping GMs happy through sheer organisational magic.

Ami (WFH) – Brings invaluable insight into many CMs thanks to years of experience, especially in procurement. A walking knowledge bank - minus the dusty shelves. Note: WFH is not WorkFromHome. Catch hold of him to know the real meaning :)

Ashok – First day and he immediately sorted out minor housekeeping issues with just one call. One interaction is all it takes to see why he’s so well liked by both GOs and GMs - efficient, helpful, and calm under pressure (except on the tennis court).

Bryan – Learned a lot from him in tennis. Proof that patience, skill and good coaching really do make a difference.

Abi – Diligent and dependable. Ask for his special drink, you won’t regret it, and you may find yourself ordering it again… and again.

Satish – Seems to be everywhere at once. Incredibly hardworking, polite and helpful in countless ways.

Dal - Always smiling. Most interactive security I've ever met.

Truly grateful to have known such an amazing bunch. This is what Club Med is really about - the staff, the teamwork, the heart behind it all. Hopefully our paths cross again very soon...preferably over great food, good laughs and maybe another slice (or 3) of CM Cherating's pizza!

Teens club is so fun and Angela was so kind and I loved all the activities the we did I especially loved swimming and kayaking.

We stayed with Club Med Cherating December 27th - January 2nd 2026. As a family of five (2 adults and 3 children) we welcomed in the New Year here and fully enjoyed the whole experience. My children were particularly impressed with the whole trapeze team for their kindness and talent; as well as Angela at the Teenage Club for her patience and engagement with the teens. I would definitely recommend this resort.
