La Plagne, a resort and 11 villages
Located in the Tarentaise valley of Savoie, La Plagne is a beautiful and captivating winter sports resort. Moreover, it is one of the most popular alpine skiing spots in France. This is because of its optimum snow cover and the very wide variety of tracks and activities it offers.
La Plagne is not a classical skiing resort, but a group of 11 villages located at the foot of the tracks. Some of them are Aime-la-Plagne, Belle Plagne, Plagne Village/Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Champagny en Vanoise, Plagne Montalbert, and Montchavin-Les Coches. All these places are connected by free shuttles that provide transportation from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight!
The skiable area is called Paradiski. It has 95 cable cars and 225 km of tracks between 1,250 and 3,250 metres of altitude. Whether you are a beginner, enthusiast or expert, you will find a suitable place for skiing! Do you feel like checking out somewhere else? The skiable area of La Plagne is connected to that of Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry, giving you 425 km of tracks for alpine skiing in France.

La Plagne hosted the competitions of the 1992 Olympic Games. The resort still has several Bobsleigh tracks. If you so desire, you can go on a thrilling high-speed descent during your stay!

Megève is a chic and traditional resort
Megève is one of the most beautiful resorts where you can go alpine skiing in France. It is also one of the oldest. Megève was originally a village. This is why you will find magnificent traditional chalets, a church, small paved roads and even a medieval village square. There are paths for pedestrians at the centre of the resort and numerous on-site activities! You will surely have busy daily schedules.
The ski resort was established in 1920. One of its strong points is that it is located at the heart of Mount Blanc. When the sun shines, it is easy to see the highest peak of the Alps. You will always enjoy panoramic views from anywhere in this resort. The skiable area of the resort, Evasion Mont-Blanc, has 219 tracks with a total length of 445 km.

Val d’Isère, a Champion’s Resort.
The magnificent Val d’Isère ski resort is located a walking distance away from the Italian border. One of the greatest French skiers, Jean-Claude Killy, lived in this resort and perfected his skills there. Very often, the alpine skiing resort hosts competitions such as the 1992 Olympic Games or the 2009 World Alpine Skiing Championships. Therefore, Val d’Isère has high quality infrastructure and a vast skiable area.
This area is called Espace Killy. It has 154 tracks. Skiers will particularly enjoy the 71 red and black tracks, the most popular of which lies opposite Bellevarde. The skiable area of Val d’Isère is connected to that of the Tignes resort. Thus, you can easily go for a full day of skiing and explore another resort!
