Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

Overall, our stay was excellent. Traveling at the end of October the resort was only at ~30% capacity which was fantastic for things like availability of beach chairs, but unfortunately meant things like the main restaurant was only open for dinners.

My wife and I played a good amount of tennis and Julio was awesome to work with. Fun to play and gave a good balance of tips/coaching. On the personal side my wife mentioned she was bummed she wasn't going to get a tennis wristband since we were traveling out the day they handed them out; Julio made sure to have some available for us at our departure which was very thoughtful.

We traveled with our 1 year old and our plan was to not do any day care at the resort. However, on our first day we ran into some folks from petit club med and they were so friendly and instantly good with our little one that we decided to give it a try. We ended up doing several half days and any time baby saw the GO's out and about he would always get excited.Thank you to the Petit Club Med Team!

Last person to shout out is Juan at the main bar. He was always so friendly and would excitedly ask if he could make us a drink that wasn't on the menu. This was how my wife found what would ultimately be her nightly chocolate martini.

We had a fantastic time at Club Med Miches! Big thanks to Emma for the tour when we arrived, Silve at water sports, Juan for the delicious drinks, Anne for her amazing voice, Sara for hanging out with our son in teen club, Caroline for the fitness and dance inspiration, Annabelle and Mirka for being a great dinner and dance companions, Tammy for helping my wife soar on the trapeze, Juan Carlos and Julio for the wonderful time on the courts, and last but not least Harrison for being an amazingly hospitable CDV! We look forward to visiting again!

Anne the sports manager is very sweet and brings great energy on the mic at night. The resort is clean, the beach and the rooms are beautiful, the food is so good, the location is great. 5 stars all around!
