Cancún Mexico

We booked a family vacation: two rooms, 2 grandparents, 2 parents and the bestest 3.5 year old granddaughter ever. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. But beware...

If you are travelling with an under 4-year-old, (a) you need to reserve a spot in Petit Club in advance. From the online description and chatting with the reservationists, I understood that we could NOT book for one day and assume we could extend it or, conversely, pay for multiple days and cancel if it didn't work out. (b) We held off booking, assuming that if the kid could manage it, she would be able to join the 4+ group, WRONG! As a result we were locked out of the (paid) Petit Club but not permitted to join the 4+ group. This made for less than the perfect vacation we had envisioned for the kid, with fewer activities available and, of course, less opportunities to mix and make friends. This alone cost Club Med one star.

The food was plentiful, with the main dining room buffet style, with many choices. Food was generally prepared well—not great, but decent.

The two reserve-in-advance restaurants (the Argentinian steak place, La Estancia, and the Mexican Taco Arte are very popular and reservations fill very quickly. To me, this says there are not enough dining options offered. Club Med should do something about this...
Rooms are adequate but bed pillows were awful, truly terrible. Nice Ahava soaps and shampoos and an assortment of toiletries.
The staff was courteous, friendly and welcoming.
Would we return? Yes, though we would not reserve beach-front rooms as we never really took advantage of walking on the beach (way too hot!). Also because our 3.5 year old will be 4 by then and less restricted.

Loved the resort. One side overlooks all the Cancun buildings but the other side has a beautiful view!!! Lucie and Julia were super welcoming and explained everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay. Definitely will be coming back with the kids

Had a great time overall! The rooms were dated and options limited compared to some other all inclusive in the area but the taco arte restaurant was awesome. Delicious food, views and good service! Glad we got reservations here easily 3/5 of our nights, and sometimes hours before. Also came here for lunch once and it was great!

Our familly of four (thereof two kids aged 13 and 11) spent 13 nights in Club Med Cancun in April 2026. Overall we had a very nice stay and enjoyeable time there - although the club can welcome many guest, you never feel overwhelmed and feel there is enough space for all. Buildings are not tall (max 2 to 3 floors), food is most of the time very good and diversified and activities are plenty (and there is no need to book them in advance - you can go and try - and leave as you wish).

On the down side, one of the beach was not accessible due to seaweed (Sargasses) which is weather driven and there is not much more than can be done.

One of the main asset of club med is the staff (GOs as Gentil Organisateurs) - the team that welcomed us on site was amazing! Special thank to Jason (chef du village), Hugo (chef des sports), Xabi (entertainment), the sailing team (led by Paolo, who saved us after capsizing our boat!), Pablo (always smiling and welcoming us warmly in the snorkeling spot), the teens club (Thais and Xander), Nelson (Gym) and Jack Power (archery).

Last (but not least), we also would like to thank Will (from the sailing team) for all the time we spend together during our stay, our kids and us feel very blessed to have met you in Cancun. Our vacation would not have felt the same without you and we would like to wish you all the best and a very bright future!!!!
