Kani Maldives

This was the first ever club med experience for our family. It was AMAZING!

I have heard all the great stuff about club med from friends and family.. but having been there to experience it with my family, I have to say that it definitely exceeded my expectations!

We travelled with 3 kids (7, 11 and 13 yo). The youngest was in the Mini Club and the staffs were superb - Fatima, Ali, Elena, Emma and Myde. I dont know how they cope with all the kids but they did a great job. My kid kept on asking to return to the Mini Club to play. There were so many activities for the kids - trapeze, baking, art and craft, swimming, sailing, pedal boat, slip and slide, sandcastle building and even snokerling.

For the older kids, they were in the Teens club with JB. He was really good at entertaining the teens.. with all the games, jokes, pool games and snokerling.

A big shout out to the CIRCUS Team - Appt, Cheryl, Hendry, Nana and Daniel. They were amazing. Our family bonded so well during the one week stay.. from trapeze sessions to meal times and even dancing and partying together at night. Many times I have failed trying to do the various poses .. but they were all very patient and kept on encouraging us. We have learnt many new tricks on the trapeze from them.. and we hope to meet them again in the future ..

Snokerling just by the resort was amazing.. lots of fishes among the corals. Much better on the beach by Kandu rather than the jetty side. We were lucky to see nurse sharks and even a ray while snokerling there. If you don't see them, just go at night when the party is at Iru Bar.. the nurse sharks will also come up all the way by the Bar.

We went on a private boat for the excursion - nurse shark and sea life. It was expensive but worth the money spent. There were so many sea creatures - sharks, stingrays, fishes, eels and we even managed to see a sea turtle! Our guide was Hasanbe - we struggled to take any photos or video but he did it all for us - capturing all the beautiful creatures. Bring a phone with lots of storage space and battery!

Food.. plenty plenty plenty. We were at Veli for almost all our meals with the GOs. Widespread of selection of food and deserts. The chef even went thru the trouble to make my son Carbonara for his bday dinner. Our waiter (Shifzan) was superb - always asking if there is anything that we need.

Our favourite bartender was Ashley. She was always making my son's favourite chocolate milkshake and her special cocktail was good.

We even took a quick photoshoot with David at club med. He was professional and friendly - making the shoot fun and easy especially with kids.

The downside to the resort is there were plenty of mosquitoes. Kids had quite a number of bites despite using insect repellent. Told the GM Ragab about the issue and he actually got pest control to sort it out. It was so much better after that. Many thanks for taking our feedback seriously. Do bring lots of insects repellent.

We were initially worried that 8 days on one island is slightly too long.. but there were so many things to do there. You will never be bored. We were in tears when we left the island but we hope to meet the GOs again someday in other club med!

This was definitely the best beach holiday ever for my family. Club Med Kani far exceeded my expectations from the lovely weather, warm seas and the abundance of sea life!

The staff were warm and full of energy. Kudos to you guys for keeping my kids (pre-teen and teens) entertained from morning till night. All of my kids were ever so reluctant to leave as they had really bonded with the GOs and the other kids there.

A huge shoutout to the circus team (Cheryl, Appy, Hendri and Nana) who were ever so professional. All of us felt so safe in your hands and were confident to fly and perform tricks under your guidance. Not only that, these amazing bunch of people were so easygoing that everyday felt like we were just hanging out with a bunch of friends. You guys made what would have been a wonderful trip into an amazing trip! You guys are definitely the stars of Club Med Kani. We will definitely miss you guys and we sincerely hope that we will bump into each other again in the future!

A huge thanks to the GOs (Emma, Elena, Myde, Ali, JB) from the Mini Club and Teen Club who could keep the kids entertained and never bored. Also to the bartender Ashley for the unlimited chocolate milkshakes and her bartender's special!

We just came back from Club Med Kani and had an absolutely amazing time.

A very special shout-out to Yoe from the snorkeling team. He was super attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about everyone in the water. We always felt safe and ended up doing way more snorkeling than we originally planned.

The rest of the snorkeling team (Ezechiel, Natsumi, Celine and Sajy) were also great, as were the teams running circus (Cheryl, Abby, Nana and Hendry) and the teen club (JB). Reception (Erika and Stepan) were always helpful too. And there were many more lovely GOs around the resort.

We chatted, danced and dined together and honestly ended up feeling more like friends than guests.

Can’t wait to go back.

The GOs at Club Med Kani feel like the world’s most joyful team on a mission to keep everyone smiling. They somehow have endless energy, perfect humor, and a magical ability to make you join activities you never planned to do, then make you love them. They remember your name, hype you up like you are a celebrity, and appear exactly when you need help, a laugh, or a reason to join the fun. Teens stay busy, parents stay relaxed, and everyone ends up laughing way more than expected.

And then there is JB. JB feels like the funniest, friendliest highlight of the trip. He makes teens feel cool, parents feel calm, and somehow makes every moment feel like the best part of the day. With JB and the whole GO team, you do not just go on holiday. You enjoy a non-stop happiness team working just for you.
