Pragelato Sestriere Italy

"This was our fourth trip with Club Med but our first time in Pragelato.

This hotel is quite different owing to the set up of it being smaller chalet-type buildings around a central hub where the restaurants, mini club, ski school etc are.
We loved this about it - It’s a lot more charming and atmospheric than the massive hotels elsewhere.
We were the furthest possible away from reception yet it was still only a very short walk.

The staff were amazing, always friendly and extremely helpful. The ski school and mini club was brilliant and the children learnt a lot and really enjoyed themselves. [...]the resort basically has its own gondola lift (quiet, no queues, 20s walk from reception!) which takes you straight up to the top of Sestriere and there the snow was brilliant. We normally like ski in / ski out but in this instance it wasn’t much of an issue at all.[...]

The food was great - we used the buffet all the time as it works so well with the children, and the selection and quality of food was great.

I can’t fault this resort - it’s got a bit more atmosphere than other Club Meds, a lovely ski area, lovely food, great staff and a pretty short transfer from Turin at 90-120mins.

We went for half term holidays.
It was our first Club Med trip, but I must say I am a fan now! We loved the experience.

The hotel is really nice as these are separate chalets not a big hotel, which gives a real mountains/Alps vibes. Rooms are really nice and very clean. [...]

Food, drinks - superb!

Ski experience - fantastic. Starting with the ski room - wonderful idea! You can join ski groups if you wish.

Ski groups for kids are just great, you leave your kid in save hands. And they don't joke around when it comes to skiing at all. My son is 9, he went to the highest level available (level 5) and they were doing red and black runs only! All day on the slope with short lunch brake.
I went to group 2 and it was just prefect for someone who is starting.[...]

The infrastructure is incredible since this was Olympic stadium. Astonishing views! Slopes for all levels.

Apart from this it was a fantastic stay and I am already looking forward to my another trip with Club Med!"
