Cherating Beach Malaysia

We absolutely loved our experience. Cherating was our second Club Med (after Phuket) and it was fantastic. The whole team was amazing and it felt like home. Clayton and Gautier provided great leadership. The Kids/Teens Club staff were absolutely superb. Poppy and her team behind the bar were absolutely top class, especially Charo, Abegoss and Shen, whose friendly nature and service made our experience. Won and her shows were fantastic and team made them workwhile experience. Props to the circus crew as well, Cammy and his team made the circus and shows just elite for our kids. Mario and his team were fantastic. Finally Dal in the security team was the perfect choice at the entrance. The kids and I really enjoyed saying hello and chatting with Dal on the way through who was perfect in that role and great to get to know. Thanks to Clayton and his team!

Great family oriented concept offering a varied set of sport activities. Facilities outdated, however great staff, great food that made the 1 week stayover a memorable one.

Thank you to Circus staff and Mini Club Med staff making the time spent memorable and pleasant for our kids. Special thanks to Wafi Waffle) who has been a great friend for our son Marius.

The one star minus is due to outdated facilities, mainly for the accommodation but also for the sports facilities.

The resort has breathtaking sea views for nice family photography. Buffets have a good selection of cuisines. The restaurant located nearby the private beach with booking is worth trying with a few course meal. We enjoyed the shows put up by the GOs.

This was our second visit to Cherating, from Australia.

The resort is in desperate need of renovation but the bones of an amazing relaxing family holiday are still there.

The food is exceptional, with something for everyone.

The activities are great (even though you are discouraged from swimming in the ocean - maybe out of extreme risk aversion?)

The location -set in the rainforest, on the south China sea, feels so remote and peaceful. My kids loved to spot the monkeys and lizards. We had a week of digital detox and feel so refreshed.
